Overview
Tanganyika Buffer™ is a blend of carbonate salts formulated to enhance the natural environment of Tanganyikan cichlids. It raises alkalinity, carbonate hardness (KH), and pH while leaving general hardness (GH) unaffected. Designed to maintain a pH of 9.0–9.4, it is ideal when used in combination with Cichlid Lake Salt™, Cichlid Trace™, and NutriDiet® Cichlid Flakes for optimal replication of the Tanganyikan environment.

Directions
- Use 5 g (1 level teaspoon) per 40–80 L (10–20 US gallons) of water daily until desired pH is reached and maintained.
- After initial adjustment, dose as needed to maintain pH, typically no more than once every 2–3 weeks.
- For best results, dissolve the buffer in freshwater before use.
- Add after Cichlid Lake Salt™ when setting up an aquarium or performing water changes.
- Tanganyika Buffer™ maintains pH between 9.0–9.4 depending on dosage.
- For lower pH targets (7.8–8.4), use Malawi/Victoria Buffer™ alone or in combination with Tanganyika Buffer™.
