Best Before Date Disclaimer (06/26)

A Best Before date is not the same thing as an expiration date. An expiration date means the product may no longer be safe or effective after that date and should not be used. A Best Before date, on the other hand, refers to the period when the manufacturer guarantees the product will be at its peak freshness, quality, and performance. After this date, the product is typically still usable, but the quality (such as vitamin strength, colour, or overall potency) may gradually decline over time.
In most cases, fish food and similar dry aquatic products can still remain usable for approximately 2–3 years past the Best Before date, especially when it has been properly cold stored, as this greatly helps preserve freshness and slows down nutrient breakdown.
For retail stores purchasing in bulk, this product may be best suited for clearance sales or for use in a store fish room. For individual customers, it can be an excellent opportunity to stock up and feed their fish at a significantly reduced cost.
By purchasing this product, the buyer acknowledges that it is being sold as a Best Before dated item and understands the difference between Best Before and expiration dating.
Please note: In some cases, the Best Before date may have been removed from the packaging. This is something we occasionally do with these types of products prior to donating them to the local aquarium society.
Staple food for balanced growth of Koi between 12 and 25 cm (5 – 10 in.)
sera Koi Royal Nature Medium (4 mm/0.15 in.) is the staple food consisting of carefully processed granules without dyes and preservatives.
Valuable ingredients such as omega fatty acids and immune stimulating mannan oligosaccharides support the healthy development and disease resistance. 4% sustainably bred insect meal complete the carefully compiled ingredient list.
Due to its balanced carbohydrate vs. protein ratio it is very easily digestible and excellently suitable for a wholesome diet throughout the year. The requirements of the Koi are optimally fulfilled. The floating granules keep their shape particularly well and do not pollute the water.
Feed once or twice daily throughout the year, only as much as the animals take up within a short time.
