Description

Overview

Flourish Excel™ is a bioavailable organic carbon source for planted aquariums, providing an alternative or supplement to CO2 injection. It introduces photosynthetic intermediates that plants can directly utilise, supporting growth when CO2 alone is insufficient or could lower pH to dangerous levels. Flourish Excel™ also promotes the ferrous state of iron (Fe²⁺), which is more easily absorbed by plants than ferric iron (Fe³⁺). By supplying structurally similar compounds to natural photosynthetic intermediates, it bypasses the need for CO2 in some carbon chain-building processes.
