Overview
Alkaline Buffer™ is a non–phosphate buffer that raises pH and alkalinity (KH) in freshwater aquariums. Designed for planted tanks or very hard water systems, it buffers effectively without introducing phosphates that may cause algae or cloudiness. When used alone or paired with Acid Buffer™, it gently stabilizes pH between 7.2 and 8.5, enhancing the aquarium environment.

Directions
- Use 1 teaspoon (6 g) per 80 L (20 US gallons) daily until desired pH is reached (raises alkalinity by ~1 meq/L or 2.8 dKH).
- For gradual pH adjustment, combine with Acid Buffer™ using the suggested ratio chart.
- For precise dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale.
Hint: Determine the amount of Alkaline Buffer™ needed based on your desired alkalinity, then divide by the middle column in the chart to calculate the correct Acid Buffer™ amount.
