Pristine™ uses bio-augmentation, a natural and non-chemical method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste, and detritus in freshwater and marine aquaria. By reducing excess nutrients such as ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates, Pristine™ helps prevent the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms, increases water clarity, and promotes overall aquatic health.
The bacterial species in Pristine™ are specially selected for hardiness and adaptability. They thrive in both fresh and saltwater and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that may create unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this blend can survive harsh or low-oxygen conditions while continuing to multiply and improve water quality. Biopolymers produced by established colonies trap particulates, further enhancing water clarity.

Directions
- Shake well before use.
- Turn off UV sterilizers or ozone.
- Initial dose: 1 capful (5 mL) per 40 L (10 US gallons)
- Maintenance dose: 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) with additions of livestock or after biofilter disruption (cleaning or medications).
- Remove antibiotics with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria.
- Allow 2–3 days for bacteria to establish before resuming UV sterilizers or ozone.
- Persistent high nutrients may indicate overstocking, overfeeding, or insufficient filtration.
