This is a soil amendment and substrate commonly used in the bioactive, horticultural, and dart frog and invertebrate hobbies. It allows maximum drainage, reduces odors, and has natural biofiltration properties. Beneficial bacteria cultivate on charcoal, and fungal loads are reduced. Additionally, it is a great soil amendment to increase drainage and prevent root rot!
