Description
The Fritz Liquid Water Test for General Hardness is a liquid reagent-based aquarium testing kit designed to accurately measure GH (general hardness) levels in freshwater and saltwater systems. General hardness reflects the concentration of dissolved minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium, which are essential for fish health, plant growth, and overall biological stability.
This kit is especially useful for freshwater aquariums, planted tanks, and species-sensitive setups where stable mineral content is critical for long-term health.
Key Features
- Measures general hardness (GH) in aquarium water
- Indicates levels of calcium and magnesium in solution
- Helps maintain stable mineral balance for aquatic life
- Suitable for freshwater aquariums and planted systems
- Liquid reagent drop test for accurate results
- Clear colour change system for easy interpretation
Instructions
- Remove the childproof cap by pushing down and twisting
- Fill a clean test tube with 5 ml of aquarium water
- Add GH reagent solution drop by drop, counting each drop
- Gently shake the test tube after every 1–2 drops
- Continue until the solution changes from orange to green
- The number of drops used equals the GH level
